It is a great joy to photograph this family, they are simply awesome. That’s why they are my friends 😉  We chose this location, the Al Sabo preserve, in Texas township, because it is a place we love to go hiking, snowshoeing, cross county skiing and mountain biking together.  This is such a nice park, close to Kalamazoo and Portage and yet it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. I love to shoot at locations that have a special meaning for the family, not only you have a portrait of your family but also you can preserve the memories of fun times at that place.
