| Today I want to share something personal.
I’m a photographer. I spend my days helping women feel confident and authentic in front of the camera. But for a long time, I avoided being in photos myself. I wasn’t used to seeing myself in pictures. And let me tell you—it’s very different than looking in the mirror.Over the years, especially after gaining some weight, I found it hard to recognize this new version of me. But I made a decision: I started taking more photos of myself. And I shared them—even if they showed my wrinkles or a few extra pounds. And you know what happened? Little by little, I began to rediscover the things I do like about myself. I learned to help myself with poses and angles that flatter me, but also to stop being so hard on myself if I looked “bigger” in a photo. I started looking at myself more compassionately… and being happy with who I am now. And the most beautiful thing? The response from others was positive. Because people don’t judge us as harshly as we judge ourselves. In fact, they often see us in a much kinder light than we see ourselves. If you’ve ever felt this way too, I want to invite you to “Entre mujeres frente al lente”—a photography workshop experience where we explore self-image, visibility, and the power of showing up as our true selves in front of the lens. It’s a safe, supportive space to reconnect with your own light.
