Last week we had a big storm passing through. Two days without power, lost a big and beautiful pine tree in the front yard and no school for the kids. Fortunately that was all for us, there families still without power and in neighboring states some people lost their homes and some their lives.

The kids enjoyed the technology free time playing chess, board games and yes, making a mess with the candles! There was a clear calm hour in the afternoon before the storm returned, we went for a walk, the light was beautiful and the clouds were amazing…then back inside hiding form the high winds and rain.
