Fifteen minutes of fame

Yesterday I had the great opportunity of  learning from two great photographers. Joe McNally and David Hobby on their Flash Bus Tour. It was a great experience, I laughed and learnt a lot! These two guys are the masters of working with speed lights (flash) and do amazing things with simple set ups, and some not so simple ones but still with small flashes. They do great job on making you feel less intimidated with light. There were 400 people and it felt like they were having a conversation with you and 10 more. If you have the chance to see these guys, don’t hesitate.

My 15 minutes of fame came when I was a called on stage while Joe was showing different flash arrangments and set ups. These are ome of the “infamous” photos he took, buy hey, it is not everyday that you get yur photo taken by Joe McNally! The silly poses? He made us do that and, by the way, that kid is NOT Justin Bieber! He a very talented photographer called Cali, you can see his work here. It was a great feeling having Joe call me by my name later in the hallways. It was like meeting Tom Cruise when I was 15, only that I never met Tom Cruise and today have no interest whatsoever on meeting the guy. Much rather meet Joe McNallyDavid HobbyDavid Duchemin or Matt Brandon, wait a minute, I already met those guys!

This won’t make me famous, but I had a great time!
